Check If Your Doctors Are Covered
With Original Medicare and Medigap, you can see any doctor in the U.S. who accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage plans usually have networks, so check your doctors and hospitals before you choose a plan.
- 1
Find doctors and hospitals that accept Medicare
Medicare's Care Compare tool lists doctors, hospitals and other providers in your area, and whether they accept Medicare.
Open Care Compare on Medicare.gov (opens in a new tab) - 2
Check a plan's network before you enroll
Medicare Plan Finder shows the Medicare Advantage and Part D plans available in your ZIP code. Each plan's page links to its provider directory.
Open Plan Finder on Medicare.gov (opens in a new tab) - 3
Confirm with the plan and your doctor's office
Networks can change during the year. Call the plan (the number is on its website or your member card) and ask your doctor's office which plans they currently accept.
